A Royal Visit to Two Rhythms

HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, meeting Two Rhythms guests, staff and carers.

On Wednesday, 23rd July, His Royal Highness, the Duke of Edinburgh, visited the Wales Millennium Centre and engaged with several of the resident organisations. Two Rhythms were delighted to be able to welcome the Duke, and we arranged for several guests and carers to be part of his visit.

After a quick introduction from our CEO, Gray Hill, Membership Officer and Creative Facilitator, Liberty Jones introduced each guest in turn, and His Royal Highness was warm, engaging and interested in each. We explained the activity, and even discussed our guests’ music preferences (HRH told us that he wasn’t such a fan of rock music!)

Reflecting on the visit, Gray commented:
We’re proud to be part of the creative community of arts organisations based at the Centre. The Royal Visit was a wonderful opportunity to share both our enthusiasm (and our guests!) for arts and culture, and demonstrate to His Royal Highness, the difference we can make.’
