Two Rhythms contributes chapter to new book on Disability Studies

The first copy of ‘Cultural Stations of Disability: A Moment in Discourse’ arrives at Two Rhythms

Two Rhythms is proud to have been invited to contribute a chapter to a new, internationally available, academic book, ‘Cultural Stations of Disability: A Moment in Discourse’, edited by Professor David Bolt,  Professor of Disability Studies at Liverpool Hope University.

The newly published book brings together an international gathering of contributors that finds and defines dozens of cultural stations of disability in music, art, film, television programmes, literature, sitcoms, activism, sport, performance, organisations, places, and events. And we at Two Rhythms are incredibly proud to have our own chapter, Touching Trust and Finding Two Rhythms: Challenging Hierarchies as Social Activism, alongside such respected and considered academics, scientists and authors.

This follows the landmark July 2025 publication of the University of South Wales Independent Evaluation into Two Rhythms, and we are delighted to have again collaborated with Dr Steven Walden and Prof. Emily Underwood-Lee.

Celebrating its publication, Two Rhythms CEO, Gray Hill commented:
”We’re delighted to have contributed to this fascinating and important book. Prof. David Bolt is immensely well-respected in his field, and we are proud to be included in such an eclectic volume.”

For more information on the book or to purchase a copy, please visit the publisher, Routledge. The book can also be purchased from major online booksellers.
